    "Pastor Mel is Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) trained and has over 25 years in ministry. He has served at 'Peoples Church' in Toronto, Canada, at Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Essex Fells, N.J. and for 12 years was the Senior Vice President of Student Life at Trinity International University/TEDS in Deerfield, IL.  Pastor Mel was the Senior Pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, Lake Zurich (a church planted out of Harvest Bible Chapel, Rolling Meadows, IL) for 10 years.  Mel, his wife Barbara, and their six children: Joelle, Brieanna, Mandy, Caden, Brady and Capri, are enjoying their newfound friends and church family here at Riverview and in the Fallbrook/Bonsall community."

    "Colleen coordinates all our women's events, is a liaison for the Deaconess Board, and has also worn many other hats as needed by the staff at Riverview. She loves creating cohesion between the various women's ministries, and enjoys participating in the events, lending her support, and encouraging the leaders. Colleen has been a believer in Christ since the age of five-her father and grandfather were ministers, and she considers this heritage a blessing and a rich gift from God. She has been married for 25 years to her devoted partner, Chuck, and has three sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law. The Hoover family came to Riverview in 1989, and have been here ever since-raising their three boys with the support of families from Riverview. Colleen, a confirmed claustrophobic, is proud of the fact that she has climbed inside the pyramids of Egypt-and lived to tell the tale!"

"The thing Nick most enjoys about his job is working with people to develop their abilities to build up the church body. He started playing guitar at the age of 12, joined the worship team at North Coast Church when he was 13, and began leading at 16. There he worked as Worship Intern for High School, Junior High, and then regular weekend services... eventually becoming the College Worship Director, and moving to 20-Something after marrying his amazing and beautiful wife, Danielle (they also have the most adorable little girl named Addison). Nick refuses to tell us about his most embarrassing moment... but will tell us that he doesn't like any San Diego sports teams, his absolute favorite food is his wife's Bruschetta Pasta, and if he had a totally free day, he would hang out with Danielle and Addison. Nick has led worship at a variety of churches (Emmanuel Faith, the Rock, and the Crystal Cathedral among others) and we are blessed to have him at Riverview Church."

"Ron works to ensure the fulfillment of Riverview's mission and ministry strategy through organizational, administrative and pastoral leadership. What he loves most about his job is being able to use the gifts and abilities God has given him to be a benefit and encouragement to the other pastors and church leaders. Born in Escondido and raised in a Christian home, he gave his life to the Lord at the age of 17, and married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, in 1973. He has spent over seven years in the Air Force, 20+ years as a Technical Consultant and Computer Software Engineer, and as a pastor in full-time ministry since 1997. Ron and Cheryl now live in Fallbrook, and have two adult children, both single. Their daughter, Heather, teaches middle school at Valley Christian School in San Marcos, and their son, Jason, works for a security company in Texas. Ron's absolute favorite foods are Mountain Dew and dark chocolate. Some highlights of Ron's past are that he has worked as a Law Enforcement Officer in Juvenile Hall and as a Computer Systems Analyst on the NASA Space Shuttle program. Also, he has ridden over 85,000 miles on a bicycle, including being part of an 8-person team that rode in the Race Across AMerica (RAAM) in 2007, covering 3,054 miles in 6 days 9 hours and 22 minutes!"

"Barbara works to help attenders of Riverview become fully-connected, committed members of Riverview Church. One of her favorite things about her job is extending God's love to every individual who walks through our doors. Barbara is originally from New York, and met her husband Joe there in sixth grade. They have been married approximately 35 years (that's an interesting story in itself), and have three children: Jennifer (married to Jason), J (married to Melissa), and Jeff. She also has four granddaughters: McKenna, Kaiya, Saylor, and Giuliana. Barbara was first invited to Riverview by her neighbor Annie Grine (whose husband Larry happened to be the Pastor here). She immediately felt a deep sense of compassion and love for the people here, and she knew she was home. One interesting note about Barbara is that her mom lived with their family for 22 years, and for six years there were four generations in one household!"

"Kathleen is responsible for overseeing and developing all aspects of our children's ministry, and she loves the kids and the people she works with. Kathleen met her husband Tim in high school, and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior after she began attending church regularly with his family. They were married at the age of 20 and started their family right away. Sons Timothy (22) and Brian (20) are both in the Army, and daughter Katie (18) is currently attending college. They are an active family who enjoy football and baseball, the beach and boating. They've been at Riverview Church since November of 1988, and Kathleen began working with the 3-year-olds class soon after coming here. Before too long she agreed to be the coordinator, and when asked to be the director nine years ago, she said 'yes.' Kathleen is a well-rounded person who says she would have gone into politics if she didn't have a family - and she just loves a good Polka or an Irish Jig!"

"Joe has been at Riverview since May 2008 and says the thing he loves most about his job is being able to work with students (and at times being able to act like one). He grew up in a Christian home in Crestline, California; and after leaving home, he attended three colleges - cramming 'four years of schooling into six' and graduating at last from Cal Poly Pomona with a minor in Bible and a double major in International Business and Marketing. He worked with the youth at EV Free Fullerton for eight years (two years as a paid intern)- and it was there he met his lovely wife, Kimberlee. Married to Kim since 2004, they have 'an energetic boy' named Michael, and two delightful daughters Lizzie and Audrey. Joe loves to eat anything his wife cooks, especially her Chicken Chorizo, and you might be interested to know that he has managed to forget all his embarrassing moments - pushing them out of his mind so he'll never have to think of them again."
